The responsibilities of the department include;

  • Day to day General Administration of the Agency
  • Ensuring effective financial and accounting systems are in place and are functional
  • Management of finances and provision of guidance to the Agency on financial expenditure, treasury circulars and adequate control on collection and disbursement of funds
  • Receiving funds accruable to the agency
  • Making payment and preparing report on expenditure and revenue to the Board
  • Routine inspection of the books of accounts of the zonal offices of the Agency to ensure revenue collected are properly accounted and lodged in the appropriate account
  • Liaison with the State Ministry of Finance and other institution on financial matters and budget
  • Production of financial report of the Agency at the end of the year
  • Production of technical support to the zonal offices on finical matters
  • Investment and Insurance
  • Development and executing marketing plans for the Agency
  • Design of programmes on Health equity
  • Generate revenue using inactive means In collaboration with the communication for development Unit, plan sensitization/advocacy and produce materials such as IEC and public relations materials

In line with the ACT establishing the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) and the implementation of the Agency's mandate towards achieving universal health coverage, has made it is necessary to create Departments and Units. The Departments and Units are saddle with the responsibility of effective service delivery in the carrying out of their functions.
